(Mar 11 2008) 2004 Summit 144 @ 7500+
Joey, Thanks for all the help this year on getting my sled running perfect. I have never been happier with how my clutches work! I spent countless hours the last few years trying to do it myself. I bought numerous components and a few brand x kits. I was never satisfied with how things worked. If I got good upshift backshift suffered. With good backshift it felt like upshift could be improved. Your kit has been the answer. My non HO 800 rev out runs all the 800HOs that I have found. I have always geared down in the past. Stock gears, 1 1/4 ripsaw with 144 picks. Still shifts out. Its fun to out pull sleds that are geared down and then walk away on the big end with more gear!! When I gear down it just gets better!! Mid range is explosive! I have absolutely NO complaints. Besides that I didn't buy sooner!!
Thanks again joey. I can't wait to get my RKT 827 back in and rippin again and start tuning all over.

Joey- Yes I did run the kit on stock engine and it worked rather well with the 200/320, 23 grams an 377 belt.
Have been jumping between stock xp's, xp's with other BRP helixes and springs and my sled - and your helix totaly outdo them all, those other sleds are not even close when it comes to smoothness and backshift in particular.
Thanks for your reply- enjoy your holiday !

I installed your kit. The snow here was very bad. I installed the 20.4 wieghts . It does not pull down when I pulled into heavier snow, which am very happy about. It also took away the reving when just idling along at 20mph and over 7000rpm , it now goes up more graduale. It pulls smooth and constant, I am over all very pleased with it and would like to try it in the mountains, but maybe next year.
Thank you, Al D.

Hi Joe, Was out this week with the kit installed- I was thoroughly impressed. The kit went together well- I did end up putting the 1mm oversize rollers in- The weight was very close to your recommendation with the new pins and no extra weight inside. I noticed a marked improvement- the engine braking downhill is perfect- and the climbing is great. I am running in clicker 1-2 on the trail and went up to 4 on the hills (about 7200 feet). RPM holds solid on the pulls. You got the stuff right- Thanks a bunch. Rod D.

Hi Joe, Just got back from the mountains. All I can say is thank you. Both kits worked well. The first hill I hit with the XP almost had me eating some snow. Wow...It took some getting used to that this machine wants to pull hard and point the skies up now, just the way it should. I have to work on the primary weight a little bit to get it to #4. I had to adjust to #5 to get the rpm's correct.
The 07 worked really good as well. I cant believe the difference in both machines.
Have a good one. John W.
