(nov 11, 2007) 2006 600 Summit 144
Just a folow up on the SX6 kit that I bought off you last year. Put in last spring but didn't get to try it out. Did couple of trips last spring, maybe 8 days total but all on meadows with 4 inches of snow. We were scouring meadows looking for moose antlers. Went out yesterday in the mountains. Snow is about 4 feet deep with a bit of a base but it is easy to dig down to dirt. I wasn't getting my RPM's so took out a little weight. Went from 7,850 to 8,100. ( I am on clicker 4)
On hard pulls on the trail going in. ( Hard packed from two weeks of sledding) the sled goes to 8,100 and pulls very hard. Much harder than before with lots of speed. In the powder at the bottom of a hill I am getting a much faster launch and am hitting the hill with more speed than I had before. Holds the speed well. I was doing more wheelies of bumps on the hill and had more power for my turnouts at the top of the climb. Was able to crank it around better than before. On a couple of pulls going staight up it would start to creep up to 8,300 RPM. Pulling at 8,100 then slowly working up to 8,300. If I backed out and then back in it would pull at 8,100. Very happy with the results. I was giving the 07 800's a pretty good scare last year and am looking forward to this winters fun and games. Nothing like kicking butt with a stock sled.
Thanks for all the work that you put into clutching.
