2005 Renegade powertek 800

Joe, tested powertek out a bit now and notice good work! Put new belt and left 24:43 gears that I previous change to. In old kit was clicker 4 and good responce so i try there to see what happen. Started S8X kit by drop in 25 grams on clicker 4 and engine to almost 8300, too much. Down to 3 and around 8100 then stay there. So it be nice kit now and give you a good jump on friends. Top end really did not change much on road like you say but that's ok the sled get there much quicker, so im happy and backshift in forest is very fun.

2004 600 ho RENAGDE

Joe got out for 2nd ride with new calibration WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW
23 grams, purple secondary, clicker 4, new chrome rings 200 kms ago, 225 lbs rider, New belt
Alright Joe this thing has done everything you said. What difference. This sled has gone from an enjoyable sled to RIDE to an Awesome sled to DRIVE. Did several tests from dead stop hard pack to pin it from different speeds to corner to corner and 1ft deep bumps. The lag at 7500 rpm is no longer. Sled would consistanly flash to 8000 rpm in all different conditions. Biggest improvement is running at 60 kms/h and pin it. It will out accelerate 03 800. Dead stop would run with same sled to 120 km/h lose 2-3 lengths and then start to mph it back. "800 is short track 1 inch lug vs 136/1.25" Clutchs not hot enough to warm my hands.
TESTS
1 dead stop in field with semi packed lose 6 inches. Out accelerate 800, 600HO MXZ 700 from 50 kms/h and up. 2 Rail bed riding hard packed dead stop. Flash 8000 rpm climb to 8200 and hold rpm steady at WFO running 155km/h to 161 kms/h on speedo. 3 Railbed side by side with all 3 sleds at 50 km/h, 80km/h and 110km/h. At 50 would pull steady with 800 and 700 and start to mph 700 at 140 km/h. 800 would pull ahead 3 lengths and stay there. 600 not even close. 80km/h same as above with 800 but other 2 were falling behing worse and at 110 km/h could pull 1 length on 800 and he would catch back go by 2 lengths and hold steady other 2 not even close.

2005 MXZ 800HO

Well alright son of a gun this thing rips now. I been the lonely DOO in my group and get hassled by buddy's F7 and two conFusions there, well not no more. We're all about 200 to 210 lbs and before I had the same top end as them but always behind several lengths. Those guys would get me off the start and pull away slowly then all of us top out about the same mph.
25 grams, clk 3, new belt right away and lowered the torsion springs, I stand on the back and it hits 8 grand right away then pretty well stays there, some runs climb to 8100 near top end.
Now I just get ahead of the F7 and stay there right to top end and the conFusions reel me in slowly and then we all top out, and I did say reel me in.

2005 MXZ 600 SDI

Hello, I install your kit and use 24.5 gram and use black secondary spring.
On clicker 4, I hit the hammer and she fly to 7800-7900 and seem to stay there (hard to tell) I run with my pal bare stock 2004 600 SDI. I get off the line and pull away right now about 4~5 sleds lengths and as I near 90 mph he would be about 2 sleds behind and at 100mph I look at him close up, he right there then look around and rpms are low, supposed to be 8100 right.?
Well I only have 137 lbs compression, good thing I have Purple doo secondary spring, I install that and now WOOOOO...I pull away 5~6 length and stay away for so long but my r's are higher now but still low a bit 8 grand on tach. I play with throttle on way back and brap brap engine follow my thumb just like you say. I have to pull out a half gram or gram to get 8100 where it seem to run best when stock. Oh mine has 1-1/4 track other has 1 inch so im happy with top end. THANKS

2005 600HO SDI

Hi Joe
We had a chance to run the sled against a 05F7 EFI - the sleds were virtually the same - your kit has wicked "mid-range" both sleds were wound out side by side the whole distance. The F7 was not overly happy - needless to say. The Ski-Doo spun a lot coming out of the hole but, once it started going the mid-range reeled him in. As you know "fire kitties" wicked weight transfer - it was funny the end result. Thanks again, your brother in clutches,

Phil M

2001 MxZx 440

Joe: No problems with my 2001 440. I made the changes and tested one day from daylight to dark. Picked up 9 miles per hr in 600' on the gun. Jetting helped. 18LBS w/your helix. Running 8400 on the tach and I don't beleive I am overreving at this point. I need to take another day and try adding some pin weight to see if I gain more. I try not to pay any attention to the tach. Top end speed is there although there is never enough. I am definitely running over 90 but I havn't put the machine on the gun yet to find out.
I appreciate all the help. This machine was a pig before I had talked to you.

98 MxZx RV 440 roller secondary

Day 1, temp 30 F, Jets 260 pto 250 mag, middle clip, secondary 18lbs, ramps 296, 1"+ 1/4" screw. Engine incredibly strong on bottom-mid and decent on top. Pulled hard from 7 to 8000. Not to stroke your ego to much but I have to say the S4X makes the sled lively in any conditions. increased a few deg., trails bad rough.
Top rpm down 1 or 2 hundy but having too much fun to stop and adjust clicker!

Final Thoughts: Glad you asked me about the drive belt. 9000 rpm overrev went away when going back to 8607 belt. Quickest reacting most fun setup I have ever run. I feel that I am running a bit much pin weight but she really goes.
Oh ya, we all traded sleds and the others were most impressed by my little 440.

2003 REV 440

DynamoJoe, I cannot believe how kick-ass your kit is! It's taken a fun sled and made it even better. I let my friend Craig (who also has a 440 REV) try it out and he was equally impressed. I gave him your number...you can expect a phone call for an order soon!
Thanks for your help and this smile on my face.

2001 MxZx 440

Joe: Went out to prelim your kit. Rollie pollie field, 5-600'. Ran with stock clutching, stock 350 jets. Stalker Pro gun shows 65mph. Put your kit in the sled with 2.1gm in each pin. Started in clicker 6 and came down from there. Each clicker down the sled went faster. (we also had a 02 800 renegade we ran with the 440. the 800 ran 70mph in the strech we were playing in all day) Obviuosly we can add more pin weight to the 440. In goes 320 jets and WHOA. +2mph!

IMPRESSIONS OF KIT: Adding kit to stock engine w/350 mains we gained 5mph. Going down 3 mains 320, we gained another 2mph. We're @ clicker 1 and we know we can still add more weight and start clicking up!! We said BYE-BYE passing the Gade in our test area! Clutch temps were right where you said they'd be, even after all the runs we made. We still have more work to do, but all in all we are happy with the results so far. You delivered what you said and we still can't believe we gained 7mph in a short amount of time. All runs were verified with my Stalker Pro Radar Gun.
Thanks!

2001 MxZx 440

Joe: Eric here...I got my heavy pins today. Put 17.4g in the sled and look the %&*# out 800's. Just kidding about the 800's but does this thing really rock now! When I flash the throttle the r's wham at 8200 and hold. I am going to heavier flyweight and click up.
I'll let u know what I come up with. I still cannot believe this compression with the low comp. head inserts.

2003 800 REV

Joe: Awesome day at the shoot-out, the sled only got beat by an 800 triple improver. Reduced mains to clean up jetting. The sled left the line better than any other stocker there and the owner of the sled was very impressed.
We may have a couple more sleds to do we'll let you know. Take care and talk to ya later,

Bob C.

2003 REV 440

Hey joe. The kit kicks A$$. Got 6 mph over stock setup. I have 17.5 grams in each lever with clicker set on #4. This thing just rips a trench at any time from 30 to 60 mph. Found that I like it better with clicker on #5 for that snappy feel. It has awsome backshifting, feels like it is always right there when I gas it. 35 degrees heavy snow 320/330jets, chocolate brown plugs, with hi comp domes.
Thanks!

Mike P.

2004 Summit 800

We put the kit in at 26g gained huge on the Summit. Out saturday dragging on the trail with a Tcat, f7, my Summit Rev, 800 Gade, 800 rmk, 800 Mnt cat, 800 Pro-X. 600 feet I killed all and after that they all went by. So I thought "Hmm, I need more gears" I went up to 21-45 picked up 8 mph with no loss on bottom end. Will try 22 next. Now I will clean em all with my 2" track except the Gade with your kit. I won't be able to take him on top, so I will let him win that war.

Brett J.

2003 REV 800

Joe: We got the machine to run quite well shaving 3 tenths from stock. We can definitely make it run better. The kit works well. Now I have to make a good flyweight combination for the trail which should be easy. Thanks for all the help, I'm sure we'll talk soon.

J.C.

2004 800 H.O.

Man I can't believe the backshift at 27 grams. The "H.O. Hoe" (ho ho) was already fun with stock clutching doin corner to corner on the river and now it seems I can count on the engine "being there" all the time like you like to say. Ya come up to a small whoop and pin it and bang, 8000, let off then squeeze again and bang 8000. I think I gotta pull a small screw out for the top because I know there is a little bit left in it. I'm still gonna tinker. I'll let you know.

2003 REV 800 Mod engine/exh.

Hey Joe clutch kit works great. Found sweet spot with 26g, TRA#4 w/419 ramps, 10 tooth drivers 1-1/4 track rpm around 8050 w/MBRP stinger/summit reeds/spacers. Tried TRA #3, #2, #5. #4 is best. Wicked hole shot. 660' sno drags Sunday, came 3rd in [800 to 1000 OPEN class]. It came down to the 1st-ZR900 2nd-Modded 700 SKS then me. Lined up with 03-REV-800, 1-1/2 track, no match, I put 3-4 length on him. 03-B/M-800 5-6 length Rest of the sleds were a 03-XCR-800, RX1-ton, SRX's, 03-REV-800 & XC-800 no match for S8X. For fun, tried "Roll-on" with B/M about 50 mph, gas on and it stay side by side to 2000 feet. Too much flyweight. Playing in sandpits, rpms there all the time. Very consistent.

2004 800 H.O Renegade

Joe: Now up to 26.8 gr and 8000 rpms on tach, click #3 and feels great. A buddy has an f7 that is fast and he won drag races, trophies out his @$$. With me expecting to get beat, we lined up on the trail & away we went. Raced twice and beat him. About 1000 ft by at least 4 lengths. He would probably catch me after 1500 ft from gaining slowly. WAS I HAPPY, I had to go right home and change my underwear LOL. This guy beats everything (but your kit) so am I happy with it. Hehehe I'll play to bring the RPMS down just a hair 7900 on tach probably 27.3 Grams. Yes 27.3 I can't believe I am pulling that weight and no down side.

2004 800 H.O Renegade

Engine stock, comp 148psi, plugs @ .018. 23:44 Install kit this weekend and started at 26.4 grams, ended at 24.4 grams w/engine under 8000 on tach & feels like the sweet spot. Now the fun stuff; Went to the woods with a couple of cat guys. Mod snow pro D&D and 800 D&D in the trails I kicked butt. My machine was good before, now great & mid range is the best. In 3ft of wet snow it will pull skis in the air every time & going up hills scary. I still have a smile on my face. Studded 164 w/2K miles, both the other machine 196 studs with less than 600 miles The 711 could get me out of the hole (dead stop start) by mid range I would catch him and pass, on top end he would pass me. With roll on's at 20 mph The 800 D&D could always beat me by 8 to 10 lengths before this weekend, he can still put it to me up to 100, now only 4 lengths. To say I'm happy is an understatement; the engine flash in woods is the best period. When I hit it, it's there with the best back shift I ever had with a Ski-doo Driven. All this on a warm day. I will do more testing because I know I can get more out of it. One other thing, boy do you have to watch reverse it will scare the H**l out of you.

2003 REV 800 Mod engine/exh.

Joe: Aftermarket head, ported, Dyno-Port pipe, '03 800HO carbs, reeds/spacer block, boost bottle gone and your clutch set-up. Remember the overrevving I was experiencing? Up to 8500rpms with 22grms pin weight. With regards to over-revving I kept the FAST pins at about 22grms and installed the wide arm Thundershift arms I had, Tra #3. Never had much of a runway to try it other than the shop yard at my buddy's place of work but OH MY GOD!!!...like a demon! 8000 on tach(think its off 200 as at 4000 on tach my Digatron is saying about 3800) One of my buddy's has a F-7 and he said, as did all, I cleared that yard like his never could! But, always tweak the set-up. Keep you up to date.
