IN CANADA
Kirsty Miller 403-441-1299 (Bow Cycle) and tell her that dynamo joe sent you to get these parts, she will pack them up and mail them to you and youll have updated bushings. IN USA You can guarantee to get the correct bushings/spring cup from Weller rec in utah. Mike Weller Weller Recreation 2972 North 900 East Kamas, UT 84036 Phone: (435) 783- 4718 I cannot say good enough about the people at Bow Cycle in Calgary (summit & performance dealer) They have this girl Kirsty there (Parts Girl) who is as smart as a whip when it comes to Summits and getting people dialed in; solutions for customers. ....and Weller Recreation in Kamas Utah, Mike Weller the parts manager is one of most knowledgeable regarding summits. This clutch kit I have for the 07XRS ~ 08XP works excellent but the primary clutches need to be certainly looked at as per the information here in this link. TRA 7 Tech link I am very concerned about owners getting their primary clutch fixed up so it will be fit for long life use.
In 2007 the XRS summit model come out with the TRA-7 and whatever bushings installed in the clutch. A lot of problems with these bushings and crank shaft problems. 2008 XP summit has several updates on the TRA-7, newer updated bushings and roller bushing material. ---08xp trail sleds land with Old 07XRS bushings. 09 xp summit again has updates on the TRA-7, newer updated bushings and roller bushing material. BRP recommendation for owners of 08xp summit models to change bushings and cap to 09 part numbers ---09xp trail sleds land with Old 07XRS bushings. I recommend to update the primary clutch spring cover to the latest summit cover and change out the bushing. Would it be safe to assume that if one were to order these new Roller bushings from the dealer that one would actually recieve the updated one? How does one tell if they are using the same part numbers still?

The color of the bushings in the rollers are black.

Sliding sheave I find where the c-clip opening is, then i go in with a chisel and chip away at the bushing till I make a good cut in it then pry it out.
...then I remove the c-clip, after I chisel the bushing out, pretty much guarantee's that you don't bend the c-clip. I will do a video on that one too. Edited by Dynamo^Joe - 04 February 2010 at 10:34am |
